The *one* downside is that there are no ligatures, nor will there ever be. It's a little sad when I use Haskell or Gleam, but it just means I need to be on the lookout for a new terminal...the brainrot is never-ending.
- Kitty has ligatures, but has actually-broken italic rendering and the maintainer's replies to requests to fix that issue were very offputting. So not only would it be even more unusable in a similar "wontfix" way, I'm also not inclined to support that project.
